NANAIMO, BC, CANADA, August 27, 2020: aDolus Technology Inc., a global authority on software intelligence for critical infrastructure, has today announced that New Ventures BC has selected the company as one of the top 10 new ventures for 2020 in the NVBC competition.
aDolus Technology entered the NVBC competition in April 2020 along with 240 other early-stage technology businesses. The competition pitted the best ideas and business plans against each other through four rounds of elimination. Companies were judged on their Market Analysis, Distribution Strategy, Competitive Analysis, Financial Estimates, and Overall Potential. Today we are thrilled to be chosen as one of the 10 finalists.
The competition culminates in a final battle of live pitches from the top 10 companies to a jury of celebrated entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors. Winners will be announced on October 1 at a virtual event this year, rather than the usual gala ceremony (thanks COVID-19).
In addition to the prize packages being awarded (ranging in value from $10K for the People’s Choice Award to the top prize of $125K), winners can use their success as a great recruiting tool and to increase exposure to investors.
Throughout the process, we received inspiring feedback from judges:
“The product taps into a huge, yet grossly underserved market that will only increase over time as more devices come online in the IoT and IoMT spaces. The distribution model that leverages a free score for vendors software provides free utility and updates on potentially compromised, and trial in exchange for expanding the database on aDolus' end is an ingenious approach.”
“One of the most credible submissions in my group. Great market opportunity. Experienced team. … Well articulated.”
So, fingers crossed we find ourselves in the winner's circle on October 1. This latest news confirms that we have a great team here at aDolus committed to our company purpose:
In a world of growing and evolving security threats, we are committed to being the global authority on software intelligence for critical infrastructure. Delivering an easy-to-use platform, we unite users, vendors, and integrators to form a trust-based information-sharing community. By working together to secure the software supply chain, we can create a safer, better world.

About aDolus Technology Inc.
aDolus provides an ecosystem called FACT™ (Framework for Analysis and Coordinated Trust) for brokering information about IoT and Industrial IoT software. FACT helps facilities determine if updates are safe to install on mission-critical devices. FACT aggregates information from vendors, asset owners, system integrators, consultants, and security researchers, and applies decades of security expertise to build a “FACT score” of trustworthiness. Much like a FICO credit score, FACT makes it quick and easy to make installation decisions, enforce policies, and ensure governance of security processes via an audit trail.
